Adventures in the Lord

These are a few pictures of the last few weeks that make me smile. These are some that I have been wanting to share. As I look through these, I keep thinking of all these other memories that I do not have pictures of!

Here are some pictures from down the street, the Jesusita fire - Taken last night when the winds really started to pick up. Behind the house on the drive back from work last night These are people on their root looking at all the smoke and ash. We are safe. Praying for others.

  That is how long Nick and I have been married! How cool is that?!?  [...No, that is not how long it's been since I last posted as some of you thought :) ]   So much has happened in the last few months, but I think we can just pick up where we left off.  God Stories. It is all about Him. All about us looking to Him, after realizing that His plans, His Ways and His thoughts are far higher than ours and that they are always better than what we could have planned on our own. I have been chasing Nick up and down the coast of California for the last 2 months. It has been an incredible adventure - one that we will remember for a long, long time (and it's not even over!). We have been able to see all of our family, mine and his, which is SO wonderfully refreshing and so much fun!!   The Jarvis is now in the port of San Francisco getting a little make-over. I have been up here 20 mins south of the city staying with our wonderful friends B and T, Oh man do we love you guys. T is Nick...

Oh man, nothing gets me so pumped up, so excited, and just my heart jumping up and down like God-stories. Stories about the Lord, His work, His plans and how He uses His people! We all have stories like this as we walk through this life, trusting the Lord and not leaning on our own understanding. This weekend was FULL of God-stories :D The Lord truly gave me a great weekend on the YWAM base in Kona. I cannot get my computer to load the other pictures, but these ones actually explain it well - I was just washed afresh with pure, living water and revitalized by the Lord! I got to spend time with Luke and Bethany, I went on the most grueling-amazing hike, I got to have amazing time alone with the Lord, and I got to hear one of the Best God stories ever... The Lord is Great and Greatly to be Praised! He has given me a new song to sing Becky

Over the last few 2 months, the Lord has done so much in me and in those around me. I can't wait to share some of the stories with you! Hopefully in person, or over the phone for those of you far away :) I am so excited to be heading to Kona to see my good friends Bethany and Luke this weekend! It is amazing how the Lord planned that...It is the perfect weekend and I am excited to hear from the Lord while I am there! Dreams of being in California come up almost daily now as I look forward to that flight! As I got ready for church this past Sunday, I can't help but long for the day Nick and I get to go to Reality, our church home...to worship and study with our church family...That will be a very sweet day. Man - these phone calls are so life-giving. I got a call from Nick today. They pulled into port and are getting ready to go back out to patrol. In Dutch Harbor, there is no cell service, so the guys have to call from pay phones. Luckily the phones are inside, so their hands don't freeze while talking! Nick said he and Justin are going to go snowboarding today!! I love it - the boat has a bunch of "morale gear" that they can use, including snowboards. We joked that maybe he will break his arm and get to come home? :/ no, no don't pray for that, although I wish I could see him sooner!! Another exciting thing...I bought a ticket to fly back to California!! :D I will be coming the first week in March! It was really an encouragement to know that I will be seeing people I love in just one month's time. The Lord knew I would need that to survive this next month. The Lord has given me another full week with stuff to do: I am going to be house sitting for a friend who live...

Alright! So it is time to catch you up with some pictures. I realize that I still had not uploaded pictures from New Year's Eve! and what an adventure that was. In order to try and give you a glimpse of what New Year's in Hawaii is like, I have put up a video. Keep in mind it was like that non-stop from about 8pm - midnight!
