Picture of me this morning watching the Jarvis pull into Pearl Harbor! I've always loved that song...I can see why now!!

It is a calm morning with clouds in the sky and a light rain falling on the plumeria outside my window...it is a Glorious Day . I cannot believe I am writing another post on the dawn of the Jarvis pulling in to Honolulu! In honest truth, I cannot believe we survived another patrol. Yesterday driving to church I was just overcome with gratitude that the Lord would carry me through another patrol with such grace and joy. I hear people say often "Becky, I don't know how you do it?" or "You must be so strong" (HA! I laugh at that one). I do not have an eloquent answer, but the answer is Jesus. and I am not trying to have made up/false humility here. I am just telling you it is impossible to do patrols like this triumphantly, victoriously and with joy without Jesus . Absolutely Impossible. I see people try and all else fails. "Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distresses..." Psalm 107. Even if He does n...

When I started writing this post, I kept wanting to preface with what the Lord is doing and teach me. But I deleted all that and decided I would just put it out there for you to read without any background or fluff :) The Word of God is not fluffy or "feel good". It is the Word of God.  I read My Utmost for His Highest yesterday, November 1st.  Here is the profound words I found myself reading, internalizing: Why shouldn't we go through heartbreaks? Through those doorways God is opening up ways of fellowship with His Son. Most of us fall and collapse at the first grip of pain; we sit down on the threshold of God's purpose and die away of self-pity, and all so-called Christian sympathy will aid us to our death bed. But God will not. He comes with the grip of the pierced hand of His Son, and says - "Enter into fellowship with Me; arise and shine." One Sunday after church I decided to go on a drive and thought I would take some pictures along the way. I love making an adventure out of something that is no common, like driving to the beach.  I am so grateful for every single day I wake up in Hawaii...   Hawaii Kai to Waimanalo The perfect end... me at the beach! ~~becky~~

Our friends Aubri and Justin are expecting a third addition to their family.  Justin is on the Jarvis too, co-conspirer of  Helm & Anchor . I have been so excited to find out whether they will be having another little mr or little miss. I am on a cupcake kick apparently because when I first heard, I had to make these to take over to her to celebrate the exciting news!
