L'Hôtel de Dellar

For the last two weeks I have had the most wonderful house guests!!  It has been so wonderful having quality time with my mom and sister. From day-to-day happenings to vacationing downtown Waikiki, we have had many memories and lots of laughter! That is one gift the Lord has given us three girls: Laughter. No matter what the situation, we always end up laughing our way through it.  The timing for this trip was absolutely from the Lord - even though it was a bummer Nick was not able to see them, it was perfect for us girls to have time together.


The Lord knows my fragile heart
It is so fun gradually realizing through life that the Lord knows you. The Lord knows that the last few weeks before Nick returns from a patrol are the hardest weeks for me...It does not matter if it is 6 months or 1, the last week or two are always the hardest for me emotionally. But the Lord knows that and planned ahead for me by keeping my schedule nice and booked right up until Nick comes home! Tonight I will take my mom and sis to the airport around 9PM. Then at 9:55 I pick up our friends the Murphy's who are coming to Oahu for a week! They are coming from the Big Island (where they live) for a spring break vacation and will be staying at our house! :D They know the island well and have been here many times, so I will be able to just enjoy their company and tag along with their plans!

So, today is a mix of emotions - a combination of:
 - heart sinking with the thought of my mom and sis leaving
 - excitement for the Murphy's to come in,
 - anxious expectation for nick to come home (in the next few weeks)
 - occupied brain as I have 2 days of all day meetings with work...

Thank you Lord for Knowing!

All of our belongings arrived this morning! We have it all! Big truck, three huge crates and a team of 5 showed up on the doorstep at 8:45 AM this morning. They must have thought I was weird - as each item came through the door I got the hugest smile! Like "oh, there is the table from the Hargroves...and there are the couches...boxes of wedding gifts I have not opened yet!..." you get the idea. Here is our bedroom before... and after! Living room before... And after! Kitchen before... And After!! The movers only took one hour to get it all into the house. The first thing I did when they left? Sat down on the couch in the living room. The Best Things In Life Are For Free

Well not completely free, actually this chair was $2.00 at a garage sale down the street, and the paint was $10.00 at the Home Depot. the cool life ring we found in the dumpster, and its from a Panamanian Ship, so really it is the only thing that was for free. so all together I guess $12.00 is not so bad for a little beach flare around the house. The drift wood and coral were free! Here you go Mom just like I promised, my newly reorganized closet.
