Our First Thanksgiving



How amazing are those flowers! Nick found them on a nearby tree and knew they would go perfectly on our table.


We were blessed to have people come over to our house for Thanksgiving. Two guys who work on the Jarvis with Nick and a girl I met at church with her two roommates. 7 people around our table and 7 sides to complement the turkey :) Shelly - I am so thankful that you gave me your Sweet Potato recipe! Aunt Lisa that Pecan Pie was the perfect dessert! And Grandma Hargrove saved the day with the gravy :D it came out perfectly!

Our Thanksgiving was wonderful. We had lots and lots of food - I have already frozen some of the turkey because we have so much left over!
We love you all so, so much.

PS: Thanksgiving leftovers that we have eaten so far:
1) turkey quesadillas
2) Creamy turkey and rice soup
3) Mashed potato pancakes, a Hargrove creation and Nick's favorite - SO yummy!

    oh my gosh! your table is beautiful Becks!!! Love it, and everyone gathered around your first Thanksgiving Turkey, AWESOME! who carved it? :) and yes those flowers are incredible, i noticed those right away, good job son!!!

    Becks & Nick! I love seeing your stories and feeling like I'm still a part of your life. So awesome to see the Lords protection and blessings in your lives together. Hope the sun is shining now and the rainy season ends soon!

All of our belongings arrived this morning! We have it all! Big truck, three huge crates and a team of 5 showed up on the doorstep at 8:45 AM this morning. They must have thought I was weird - as each item came through the door I got the hugest smile! Like "oh, there is the table from the Hargroves...and there are the couches...boxes of wedding gifts I have not opened yet!..." you get the idea. Here is our bedroom before... and after! The Best Things In Life Are For Free

Well not completely free, actually this chair was $2.00 at a garage sale down the street, and the paint was $10.00 at the Home Depot. the cool life ring we found in the dumpster, and its from a Panamanian Ship, so really it is the only thing that was for free. so all together I guess $12.00 is not so bad for a little beach flare around the house. The drift wood and coral were free! Here you go Mom just like I promised, my newly reorganized closet.
