Adventures in the Lord

Tonight is the eve of a blessed homecoming!! My heart has been rejoicing all day long. The Lord has carried us through another patrol. As I think back over the last few months I see how faithful the Lord has been to provide for me. He is so faithful!  This song continues to resound in my mind and heart - I hope you too are blessed it too. For the last two weeks I have had the most wonderful house guests!!  It has been so wonderful having quality time with my mom and sister. From day-to-day happenings to vacationing downtown Waikiki, we have had many memories and lots of laughter! That is one gift the Lord has given us three girls: Laughter. No matter what the situation, we always end up laughing our way through it.  The timing for this trip was absolutely from the Lord - even though it was a bummer Nick was not able to see them, it was perfect for us girls to have time together. The Lord knows my fragile heart It is so fun gradually realizing through life that the Lord knows you. The Lord knows that the last few weeks before Nick returns from a patrol are the hardest weeks for me...It does not matter if it is 6 months or 1, the last week or two are always the hardest for me emotionally. But the Lord knows that and planned ahead for me by keeping my schedule nice and booked right up until Nick comes home! T ...

That is how long I got to talk with the love of my life today! It was the first phone call we have had since he left, which was 2 weeks ago today. It is amazing what the Lord allows us to endure... If you told me, 4 years ago (2006), that I would go for weeks at a time without hearing my husband's voice, I would not believe I would be able to endure it. God is incredible. He gives truly amazing, incomprehensible Grace to those who call Him Father. So today, enjoy the voices of loved ones that you have around you. Go tell your friend, your husband, your child that you LOVE them and love the sound of their voice . -Becky
